Infomaniak Network SA was founded in 1996 by the founding members of Infomaniak SNC (1994); this company belongs and is managed by the following 2 partners: MM. Fabian Lucchi and Boris Siegenthaler.
January 2000 : our company specializes in Internet site hosting only. The aim being for our company to dedicate all its time and expertise on a top of the range product while still maintaining very attractive products with regard to the performance of our services.
October 2000 :We create our own data centre to fully control our servers and to achieve immediate reaction time for hardware interventions.
December 2001 : Our development is exclusively concentrated on Unix/Linux solutions so that we are no longer subject to bugs in Micrsoft operating systems.
February 2002 : With more than 3000 hosted sites, Infomaniak Network SA is the no. 1 host in French-speaking Switzerland.
March 2004 : Our company is the first Swiss host for .com, .net, .org and .info.
November 2004 : 35% of our growth is abroad.This further proves that our expertise is not due to to regiona demand and that the quality of our hosting services can compete on an international level.
February 2005 : From now on our entire software platform and all surrounding tools are developed by our programmers in Geneva (except for our anti-virus solution which is runs under Dr. WEB licence). This allows us overall control of our tools and to stand out as compared with our competitors by virtue of unrivalled technological developments.
July 2005 : Infomaniak Network SA becomes the leader in braodcasting Internet radio, in French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France, with 90% of FM radios using our audio streaming solution.
September 2005 : With more than 30000 hosted sites entrusted to us. Infomaniak Network SA is now the no. 3 national web host.
November 2006: more than 50 FM radio stations use our Internet streaming solutionImportant groups like Radio Suisse Romande, NRJ, Fun Radio or Oui FM entrust us with broadcasting their radio over the Internet. Infomaniak is becoming of the main players when it comes to streaming in Europe.
January 2007: we are now the no. 2 host on Switzerland with over 40,000 sites, and we are entering the top 10 of the major hosts in Belgium with more than 2,000 clients nationwide. |
With a turnover of 3.9 million Euro in 2006, Infomaniak Network SA sustains continued growth from year to year.
2007 will herald the start of exponential growth for our company, as two new top-of-the-range products are launched as well as construction of a second data centre.
Infomaniak Network SA invests more than 315'000 Euro each year in modernising its IT infrastructure, and we have budgeted more than one million Swiss francs for 2007.
